Property types at a glance

Domain Property
Tracks a website domain across its supported protocols and subdomains. Verification requires a DNS record.
URL-prefix Property
Tracks only URLs beginning with the exact prefix entered, including the specified protocol and, when applicable, path.
Platform Property
Tracks an eligible creator account or channel on a supported social or video platform. It does not combine several websites into one property.

What is Google Search Console?

Google Search Console is a free service for monitoring and troubleshooting a website's presence in Google Search. Depending on the property type, it can also report how eligible creator content is found through Google Search and other Google surfaces.
