Creator Search Tracking

Creator Search Dashboard

A creator search dashboard should answer four questions quickly: Are you appearing more often, are more people clicking, which searches are driving discovery and which content is responsible?

How to build the dashboard

  1. Choose the reporting cadence. Monthly works well for small properties; weekly may suit larger or faster-moving creators.
  2. Set a baseline period. Record a clean starting snapshot before making major changes.
  3. Add core performance cards. Include impressions, clicks, CTR and change from the previous equal period.
  4. Add the query watchlist. Separate branded discovery from topic discovery.
  5. Add the top-content table. Track both visibility leaders and click leaders.
  6. Add an opportunity section. Flag promising queries and content that deserve action.
  7. Add notes. Keep a simple change log so future performance can be interpreted.

Dashboard decision rules

Dashboard signalLikely decision
Impressions rise and CTR holdsContinue expanding the successful topic footprint.
Impressions rise and CTR falls sharplyReview whether broader query exposure is less relevant or less visible.
One content item produces most clicksCreate a supporting cluster and reduce dependence on one winner.
Non-brand queries begin growingInvest further in discoverable topic content.
All metrics suddenly vanishCheck filters, data delay, permissions and verification before changing content strategy.
Keep the dashboard small enough to use. A compact dashboard reviewed consistently is more valuable than a complex one that is rarely opened.
