Ranking history made readable

See how your search visibility changes over time.

SiteWatchlist will turn Google Search Console exports into a clear history of ranking movement, impressions, clicks, and page-level performance.

Example keyword history

robots.txt generator

Movement across the last four reporting periods.

July 1 Position 54
July 8 Position 41 +13
July 15 Position 28 +13
July 22 Position 19 +9

Not just a line graph.

Search history is most useful when it explains the movement, not merely records it.

  • Highlight the largest gains and declines
  • Show when a query enters the top 50, top 20, or top 10
  • Compare the current period with the previous one
  • Reveal which pages are gaining visibility
  • Flag rising impressions with weak click-through rates

Three types of history.

The first version will focus on your own Search Console data. Later versions can expand into broader search tracking.

V1

Keyword history

Follow how individual queries move through the search results and identify meaningful milestones.

V1

Page history

See which pages are earning more impressions, more clicks, and stronger rankings over time.

Future

Independent rank history

Track selected search terms, competitors, and websites beyond your own Search Console account.

What SiteWatchlist should tell you.

Raw ranking numbers are only the beginning. The useful part is knowing which changes deserve attention.

Signal What it may mean Possible next step
Impressions rising, position improving Google may be testing the page more broadly. Strengthen internal links and continue improving the page.
Impressions rising, clicks flat The title or description may not be attracting enough clicks. Review the search snippet and compare it with competing results.
Position 11–20 The query is close to page one. Prioritize it as a near-term opportunity.
Position falling across several periods The page may be losing relevance or facing stronger competition. Inspect the page, query intent, and recent changes.
New query appears Google has found a new way to associate the page with a search. Decide whether the query deserves dedicated content or optimization.
